I am 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Labor question.?
Last week I was 36 weeks pregnant and I was dilated to a 1.5 and was about 50% effaced. This week when she checked me I was moved up to 3cm and 90% effaced, and he was way low. With my last 2 pregnancies I didn't dilate that fast. I am having contractions that are irregular, boo, but they are hard and last about 30-60 seconds depending on if I'm sitting or standing. My doctor doesn't expect to see me at my next appointment due to the fact that I progressed so fast and all the symptoms I've been having. What can I expect to happen in the next few days, I've went to websites and they've said that if I'm at 3cm it should be about 8-12 hours before I go into full blown labor. I was induced with both of my other children so I don't really know a whole lot about going into labor naturally you could say. And when will they actually admit me to the hospital if I make it to my next appointment and I've progressed farther? Are there any ways to help speed this process up that actually work. I know within the passed couple of days I've walked about 4 miles all together and did a bunch of stairs because they said it might help regulate things. Thank you for looking and answering!
