You can buy an inexpensive nail grooming kit, or have their nails capped with rubber tips. Get a scratching post obviously, and put it in the area that they want to scratch. Also begin a reward and punishment treatment. When they scratch the post they get their head scratched or a treat, and when they scratch the floor spray them with water.
